Tools for Fulfilling your Legal Obligations under CDM 2007:
Risk assessment templates, checklists and sample forms for designers and clients on CD-ROM
CDM 2007: do you and your clients understand your duties?
Construction designers need to understand how to meet their obligations under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (CDM 2007), particularly when advising clients about their duties and how to respond. As CDM 2007 beds down, it is also important to keep abreast of how the HSE and the courts interpret the regulations, and to train staff accordingly.
To help with this, Forum has developed Tools for Fulfilling your Legal Obligations under CDM 2007.
The practical software (which runs on Mac and PC), together with the companion handbook, reflect the latest HSE thinking on how designers need to act to comply with CDM 2007. They aim to help you to spend less time trying to understand what your responsibilities are and more time focusing on delivery, by providing:
- Clear, concise guidance and training material on clients' CDM responsibilities that you can customise for making presentations to clients on CDM 2007
- Practical tools that save you time with ready-made customisable documents, including hazard assessment forms, checklists, and letter wordings
- Easy-to-use checklists and tables (covering such CDM issues as the elimination of hazards, the reduction of risks, and assessments of competence) that aim to decrease the risks of health and safety incidents by seamlessly incorporating risk assessments into your construction project planning
- Up-to-date legal and HSE information covering the latest relevant legal cases and HSE recommendations since the introduction of the regulations
- Ready-to-run customisable training materials to help spread the word to less experienced employees.
Updates are issued quarterly to reflect modifications to legal aspects or content, as well as for functional improvements. (See order form for more details.)
