Practical Business Valuation:
Customised spreadsheets, analyses and reports to value your business

Value your company

'What is my company worth?' This is the question that all Managing Directors and Financial Directors want answered. Knowing the value of a business is essential not only if you and your clients are considering putting a company up for sale, but also for changing shareholder ownership, raising capital or undertaking strategic planning.

Our accountancy software, Practical Business Valuation, has been upgraded to make the product even more easy to use, as well as to put in place improvements that enable you to:

  • Identify growth companies – understand which characteristics point towards a growing organisation and use our valuation methods to get a realistic overview of what a company is worth.
  • Select the best business to buy – use different valuation methods to see which of two companies offers you the better investment opportunity.
  • Sharpen up your P:E ratio knowledge – given the closing of the gap between the prices achieved by private and listed companies, you can use the software to expand your understanding of these differences, particularly regarding P:E ratios.
  • Evaluate business efficiency – use this new information to undertake a thorough review of how efficient a business really is, including peer review and ratio evaluation.
  • Prepare a business for sale – understand how best to groom a business, undertake due diligence and market a business, to achieve the required valuation.
  • Value specialist businesses – the software will take you through how to value businesses such as farms and hotels.

Our software helps you to complete a business valuation quickly and easily with a number of different valuation methods. With the latest version you can choose the valuation method most suited to your requirements.

Additionally, with a single mouse click, you can:

  • Value a new project or specific department – using the discounted cash flow valuation.
  • Manage the financial data of different businesses – using the enhanced financial data management valuation.
  • Value overseas companies or subsidiaries – now simplified using the foreign purchase valuation.
  • Quickly combine multiple valuations to give an overall customised valuation – using the hybrid valuation model.

Updates are issued to reflect modifications to legal aspects or content, as well as for functional improvements. (See order form for more details.)

'I have recently purchased the above software, and I am very pleased with it - the book is superb!'
