About the Author
Des Stubbs has been a primary headteacher for ten years at two primary schools. In between,
he opened the British International School in Shanghai. Des has taught in first, junior and
primary schools in different authorities across the 5-11 age range. Since 2005, Des has been
running his own consultancy called 'Developing Educational Solutions', which works with schools
and local authorities assisting in school improvement planning.
